Interface 1140 Error 7

Recently I've added Interface 1140 to my setup, ever since adding it the DMC displays "Error 7" after switching to on or charger only. It displays the error for several seconds after which it turns on normally. The assistant is loaded correctly in my Quattro.

My system contains (all working as intended and on the latest firmware):
VE.bus - Interface 1140, Quattro(1931209), Cerbo, Digital Multi Control (connected in this order)
VE.direct - Cerbo, bmv-700, bluesolar mppt

When I disconnect the Interface 1140 everything reverts back to normal.

Can anybody shed some light on this?

The interface seems to work, based on varying the engine RPM and looking at the wattage taken from the engine driven generator with inverter. Yet I keep seeing Error 7 on the DMC and Cerbo for a few seconds when the Quattro is enabled.

Is this normal behaviour for a Quattro with firmware 209 connected to an Interface 1140?

Searching for clues to solving my problem I stumbled upon this changelog which specifically mentions my "problem".

According to the changelog a flag should be set in the Quattro to prevent it from throwing error 7 when an Interface 1140 is connected. This doesn't seem to function despite reloading the configuration in the Quattro numerous times.

Are the internals of the Interface 1140 always soldered this messy?
