I have a 12 volt alternator in my van. I want to charge my 48 volt battery bank while driving.
I know there is no 12->48 product (unless im misunderstanding). Is it safe/workable to do connect Alternator -> 12v/24v Orion -> 24v/48v -> 48v battery bank?
My think is the 48v Orion will know its charging a battery, and the 12/24v Orion just has to provide power as requested.
Other than getting a new 48V alternator (very expensive). Is there any other way?
