Hello Guys,

Can anyone help me to clarify why my Pmax is sometimes over 800w ? I have only two 350w panels installed totally 700w. Images attached.

many thanks,

YJ

Hi @YJ Lin,

See the fine print below the numbers.

The panel specification is for STC or Standard Test Conditions, with a power input of 1000W/sqM at 25 degrees celsius.

In the real world the suns power can be much higher than 1000W/sqM - though usually not for very long, you will typically see these 'peak' power events occur when the sun comes out from behind a cloud.

For this moment, the panels may be cooler than 25 degrees celsius (increasing panel voltage), and sun power might be at 1200W/sqM, providing the extra 20% power you are seeing on the MPPT.
