Smart Shunt VE.direct port connected directly to VE.direct port on BMV 712 is this possible?

Is it possible to connect directly the Smart Shunt VE.direct port to the VE.direct port on the BMV 712 ?

Or alternatively, can they be paired via VE.smart? So that the BMV712 can display the data coming from the Smart Shunt?

Note: the smart shunt Is already in the system and I can´t remove it.

Thx

If your handy you could drill & tap the smartshunt, and move the 712's shunt pcb to it.

Do be careful tho.

No, this will not work. Both of these devices are designed to provide data, neither of them can consume data.
A BMV is designed to read the Voltages from its shunt and then send the data on.

Just another stupid question: the VE.direct port on the smart shunt can be connected to the NMEA 2K bus via the Ve.direct to N2K cable converter?

Thanks
