mppt 100/30 and the smart Battery Sense

Is it normal for the temperature display to be different on the SBS when connected to victron connect, then the temp displayed on the mppt when connected to victron connect? I am getting two different temperature readings! Note that without the SBS connected to the battery there is no temp displayed on victron connect at all! And then it begs the question, which temp reading is used for battery charging temperature compensation??

I should also note that the two devices are approximately six feet apart! The temp could very well be different in the two locations. Curious to know why two different temps are shown?
