SmartShunt communication with Victron MPPT controller

I recently installed solar on my RV. I am planning to buy a SmartShunt for battery monitoring. When the solar was wired, no battery temp sensor was installed to connect with the controller. If I use the temp monitor in the Smartshunt will a Victron MPPT controller be able to read the temp sensor in the shunt?

MPPT has no provisions for direct temp sensor.

If it's a MPPT with bluetooth, yes. IIRC, you have to purchase the temp sensor separately, and you'll put them in the same VE.Smart network.

Alternatively, a smart battery sense also works to provide direct open circuit voltage and temperature to the MPPT via VE.Smart; however, it has not battery monitoring features.
