Possible to use a longer red wire for the Smart Shunt?

Getting ready to install this shunt and I'd have no issues if my batteries weren't in boxes out on the trailer's tongue. Just fishing the wire inside will take over 2 feet and the remaining length really limits where I can put the shunt.

Can I lengthen the red wire or will that mess with its measurement?

You can use a longer wire here. One or two metres will not make a difference, it's pretty low current in that wire. Use the same guage as the existing wire and you should be fine.

Glad to hear it. Thank you, Kirby. Now I just need to make my best guess at the wire gauge.
