100/50 and 100W panel configuration

Hello I currently have 2x100w panels in series supplying a 100/50 which is charging 2x12v batteries.

I just purchased 3 more 100w panels and I’m stumped how to connect them. Originally I thought I would just connect all 5 in series but quickly realized that will exceed the 100v input limitation.

Should I do 2 panels in parallel + 3 panels in parallel and connect them in series?.

This is for my RV so there are times I am in shade.

thanks

5 is a prime number, and can only be wired 5 series, or 5 parallel.

Buy 1 more panel, and you can wire 3 series x 2 parallel, or 2 series x 3 parallel.

Are they 32 cell panels?

Yes you will need to wire them all in parallel or go back to using only 4 panels as you could then have two strings and each string you would wire in series and then the two strings would be connected in parallel.

both strings must be the same voltage.

or buy another reg and use one for 2 panels and one for 3 panels

make sure you stay below the max voltages
