Using two MultiPlus Inverters to "combine" two AC sources -- No battery. Possible?

Hello all,

I am trying to combine two separate AC sources (say one from grid, one from generator) into one AC output.

I'm planning on using two "MultiPlus 2000VA 48-Volt" inverters to do this "combining", while also providing redundant combined output.

My question is, can I achieve this without connecting a battery to the inverters?

No, they are designed to work from battery

Also there is no possibilty to sync them
