MultiPlus-II DC in current limit

Screenshot 2024-07-08 111048.pngHello, community!

I don't have much expertise in solar technology, so my question may be obvious to someone. We have installation with MultiPlus-II 48/5000/70-50, SmartSolar MPPT 450/100-Tr, Lynx 1000 System and configured ESS assistant (without AC current senssor). The charge voltage of our batteries is 50,6V. I understand that we can expect max power of 5060W (50,6V*100A) from SmartSolar MPPT 450/100-Tr. Now we have a battery charge limit of 70A in MPPT configuration and system work without any problems. I can't find any information about the MultiPlus-II input current limit from the DC circuit. From the datasheet we know that MultiPlus-II can invert 4000W of power, it is 4000W / 50,6V = 79A from the DC circuit So the main question is:

How will the system work in case when SmartSolar MPPT 450/100-Tr can generate 100A (5060W) and the battery is fully charged? In this case all power will be directed to MultiPlus-II but it has a limit of 4000W.

Hi @PinkPhoca,

The MPPT will adapt and only produce as much power as is required by the system, to either charge the battery, run the loads (via the MultiPlus-II) or both.

If the battery is full and the system is unable to use the potential power of the MPPT it will reduce its output automatically. How it does this is also interesting, but maybe that's a technical enough answer for now.
