Multiplus not using PV power with ESS optimised mode

Having a strange issue on a new install, which is identical to a couple of others.

With ESS optimised mode the solar yield was terrible, the inverter was pulling most power from the grid. I changed the modes to "keep batteries charged" and immediately the MPPT started delivering power. Change it back and the power drops significantly and reverts back to mainly grid.

I have compared settings and can't find a difference.

475 firmware on a 3kva multi and 2.57 Venus OS, mppt is on 1.50.

The difference between the two modes is about 400W. Irrespective of grid setpoint, load and PV power available, the multi is insisting on pulling at least 400W from the grid.

The moment you change between the modes you can see the change in grid/PV power drawn

I decided to reset the config, reapply the settings and downgrade the ESS assistant.

This process resolved the issue.
