I currently have a 100ah older battery and a 120ah new battery, and I and wanting to connect a Victron 100/30 to the system to control the charge to both batteries. I have also using 2 x 160w solar panels.

Normal advice is to replace and fit identical new batteries.
This is not optimal and the new battery will do most of the work. As long as the batteries are the same type (e.g. AGM), have the same charge settings it will work.

Different capacity, different BMS but from the same manufacturer working correctly and discharging almost evenly up to the very late stage when they started deviating.
I have the same issue but different brands so I do not know the answer in the case.
