Why are there four bolts on the smartshunt 1000a?

Hi. We're in the process of installing the electrical system in our van build. We have 580 amp hours of battery so we purchased a 1000a smartshunt. We've read through the manual and watched videos on how to install the smartshunt but none of them mention why there are four bolts. Can someone please point us in the right direction? Thanks!

Having a 580Ah battery doesn't mean that the 500A shunt is to small.

500, 1000 or 2000A is the current each model can carry permanently.

In a Van I guess you have a 12V system, that means the 500A shunt can handle 6000W of power, in most cases that's enough.

The 1000A and 2000A shunts have multiple bolts so you can use multiple smaller cables instead of one big one.
