BMV-712 relay voltage different to supply voltage

My BMV-712 is attached to a 48v battery but the solenoid I wish to control via the BMV relay needs 12v, I assume the relay on the BMV is isolated from the hookup power supply but just wanted to check!

Yes, you need to supply the power. The electrical guys call it dry.
