Smartshunt low voltage while charging with mppt 100/30

IMG_0348.jpegIMG_0349.jpegIMG_0350.jpegI have two 12v lead acid batteries in parallel and my SmartShunt reads 5.84 volts but my 100/30 appears to be charging properly. I was thinking I have bad battery(s) but multimeter shows 13.7 and 13.6 on the two. I removed batteries and charged and within minutes charger showed 100% on both.

Check all connections on the positive wire are good especially the fuse, these have been known to get loose / poor connection or some corrosion.
