Battery / Charger Settings

I have a 24V system and I’m trying to find the best settings for float, absorption, etc.

  • Manufacturer of the LiPO says fully charged is 27.4V, what should I set float and absorption to?
  • Do folks normally set an Absorption duration / Absorption time / Tail current?
  • For equalization what are some good settings?

Very much appreciate the assistance

Up to 8 attachments (including images) can be used with a maximum of 190.8 MiB each and 286.6 MiB total.

Is this LiPo or LiFePO4?

Built in BMS?

There should be more information in the data sheet.

In any case disable equalisation and set the voltage for it to absorption for safety

If fully charged is 27.4v, then I would set the ABS voltage to 27.2, so as not to get to the max. as above, ensure equalisation is disabled, and set the eq voltage to the same as the abs voltage for safety. Absorption time / tail current should not need changing, but this depends on the exact installation and battery parameters.

Thanks for the information. What about float? What should I set that to?
