Smart BMS CL12/100 with no Mains detector

I am considering changing my current system to use the Smart BMS CL12/100. Victron has: US Van Manual & Drawing Smart BMS CL 12/100. It does not have a Mains detector. I have read that a mains detector is necessary to start the multi if it is shut down from low batteries.

@Steven the mains detector is not required for a multiplus ll or quatro ll.

The mains detector is only needed with the VE.Bus BMS.

I would recommend using a VE.Bus BMS if you have a VE.Bus device (MultiPlus, Quattro, Phoenix Inverter with VE.Bus).

I have a multiplus 12/3000/120 (US-VAN-Drawing-VEBus-BMS-MultiPlus-3KW-DMC-400Ah-Li-Cerbo-SBP-100A-&-65A-SmartShunt-MPPT-100-50-OrionTr.pdf)...with 3x 200AH Victron Lithium. Rightly or wrongly (?) I am concerned re load on alternator and would like to have the ability to limit the watts to the batteries.
