ESS Grid Feed In – no communication to MPPT

Hello,

We have recently completed a quite complex ESS system, built of 18 MPPT solar chargers, 12 Quattros, OPzS battery bank, BMV-702 and a CCGX.

Only one MPPT charger is connected to CCGX with VE.Direct cable, the rest 17 chargers just charge the battery bank individually, without any communication.

For now, the “feed-in excess solarcharger power” is set to OFF, as it is not allowed. But soon this is about to change, and sometimes there is some energy surplus, which could be feed-in to the grid. But will this be possible, considering only one charger is connected to CCGX?

Many thanks and kind regards,

Peter

Yes this is possible, if it doesn't work automatically there is a trick:

-set charge voltage of Quattro's lower than the MPPT's, in ESS they will discharge into grid to get to this voltage.
