Lynx BMS & Smart Lithium - Ground connection?

Hello.

I am looking at Lynx BMS manual chapter 5 (see link below) and wonder about where the ground/chassis connection is made (setup in a van)?

A) I understand there will be a cable going from battery minus to BMS negativ bus/shunt connection, should there also be a chassi-grounding from the battery minus pole

B) if battery plus & minus go to BMS and then to a Lynx Distributor, should the distributor negative bus be grounded to the chassis instead of as in A) the battery minus pole?

Any replies are highly appreciated.

Thx

You should connect the system side of the BMS to ground.

Do not connect the battery negative to ground because this bypasses the BMS and current could flow direct to the battery from other ground connections without being measured.
