Why am I not seeing absorption or float?

I have a 100/20 controller, was working fine until I swapped my batteries from 300 to 360ah. The batteries arrived with 12.85V and I’ve had them for almost 2 weeks, haven’t seen them switch from bulk. I did install a battery sense, maybe. This affects it. Voltage usually crawls from around 12.8 to 13.5 and today apparently reached 14.35, but still no sight of absorption.

What could be the issue or could someone explain this to me?


btw my last batteries were abused and didn’t have the same capacity, so reached absorption pretty quickly.

this will all depend on the absolution voltage setting and how long the batteries have to be held in absorption.

I suspect tat you are not reaching the current set absorption voltage in your mppt unit
