Is the VE Bus V1.11 safe to install?

You may need to clarify what product you are installing the firmware on.

It is the VE.Bus smart dongle that had a bug in version 1.10

@Alexandra I guess he is referring to the VE.Bus smart dongle that had a bug in version 1.10 and was rolled back to 1.09.

@s_signor@bellsouth.net I can't test it right now but I don't think the same will happen twice in a row.

VE.Bus Smart Dongle:
Add firmware to v1.11: (mandatory update upon connection)
- Fixed constant connection reset bug, introduced in V1.10, between dongle and inverter on MultiPlus/Quattro firmware versions before xxxx460
- Fixed MultiPlus/Quattro status briefly indicated FAULT immediately after firmware update or power cycle
- Add dongle status feedback during initialization and mode switch between secondary and primary mode.

Yes you are correct. It is the VE Bus Smart Dongle that had the issue on V1.10 for the Multiplus 12/3k/120-50
