BMS 12/200 connect to non-victron battery

Hello Guys,

Is it possible to connect the BMS 12/200 to a selfmade Winston cell LiFeYPO4 battery with solar and a car alternernator?

I have read that it's only possible to combine the BMS12/200 and Victron battery or with a few certain other battery manufacturers, but is it possible to connect it to my own setup with adjustments in settings?

Curious for the answer!

No - there is a missing link. The BMS 12/200 is just the dc switching (and control) interface, it does NOT have the connections to the individual cells for balancing and management. It reads this from the Victron batteries over a data bus.
