Site Metal Lock Box for Battery Bank

Hello,

I`m looking to purchase a lockable metal "site box" to have as my outdoor battery bank for my cabin. Is there any issues with using a metal box as an outdoor battery bank as long as its weather proof?

I`ll be storing 3 banks and a total of 760 Ahs in the box...

Thanks,

Sam

I use a metal site box on one of my sites, with over 900A of batteries inside, with no issues.I’ve fuse protected the battery cables at both ends because of the metal enclosur.

Thanks Mark. Did you have to use an earth rod to ground the box? Is it required?
