Can a Phoenix 48/500 work with a Pylontech US2000 without a GX device?

I've read the document, according to me it is not possible. I have a potential client that thinks it is possible.

I've referred him to 1.2 of this document:

https://www.victronenergy.com/live/battery_compatibility:pylontech_phantom

Then with a GX device:

As long as you are using the appropriate model for the nominal battery voltage, all VE.Bus inverters and inverter/chargers are compatible.

a phoenix 500/48 does not have a VE.Bus port, like the 1200 model.

Just want to confirm this?

Hi,
The Pylontech will most likely switch off, if there is no communication to the GX, because the keep alive signal is missing.

however it’s possible to configure the batteries to not need a keep alive signal, i have seen a customer doing it, but then you will loose warranty.
