50A charge only with my Victron MultiPlus 12/1600 / 70-16

My Victron MultiPlus 12/1600 / 70-16 does not charge with more than 50A ... it should be able to charge with 70A according to spec. Have you experienced anything similar? Do you have an explanation for what limits the charge?

The battery is not the limit, I can charge with significantly higher power with the generator. Attach my settings. The charge is about 60A in the beginning, the solar panel is alive. 10A and Multin 50A ....charging.png

the limiting factory can be

the units temperature

the max ac input current limit

the local power factor / power quality

The limits was set to 9.5A (at the charge above), but it never goes near this while charging, typical tops at 4-5A.2021-05-05-5.png


Temperature of the batteries was at the time 10-15C. But I haven’t seen any figures above 50A regardless if colder/warmer.

Power... I have connected my yacht to different outlets, from 10A to 16A 220V AC... I cant see any differense in charging power, its aprox 50A...

I still got the 52A as max... 52 is 75% of 70A which is factory settings according to manual, but how do I change it? I don’t have the dip swished for this on my Multi, see picture below. the Charge Current is set to 70A in VE Config...
