IP22, IP65, and IP67 differences. Need a 200ah AGM charger for a campervan.

Hi,

As the title suggests I am trying to compare the three different battery chargers for a 240v-12volt electric hook up system on a VW Crafter MWB 4x4 camper.

I am fully aware of the weatherproofing differences but I am trying to find out if there are any other differences and if so which one would be better for a 200ah AGM battery bank? I am based in the UK just in case that makes any difference.

I believe they’re all identical as far as charge profiles go so all will be fine for your battery.

IP22 comes in higher Amp rating, and accepts bigger wire size than flying leads on others. 3 output option too. It has a fan so I guess better cooling in some scenario.

IP22 seems indended for permanent/dry install applications so that’s what I picked for my camper. IP67 was close 2nd .
