In order to gain more amps out of the a single Centaur charger, is it possible to simply attach all three output to a buss - and thereby gain 3 times the current output?
Ah. Thanks for the clarification. The wording could be a little better in the literature if that's the case!
Hi there. I'm new here but had basically the same question. The pdf for the centaur chargers from the Victron website (https://www.victronenergy.com/upload/documents/Datasheet-Centaur-Charger-EN.pdf) says this:
"Three outputs that each can supply the full output current
Three isolated outputs to simultaneously charge 3 battery banks Each output is capable to supply the full rated current."
It still doesn't answer the question of whether we can combine outputs to multiply the amperage, though.
No the max output is spread across all inputs so if you max it on one then add a secound all that happens is each one takes 50% add the third out put then all will reduce to 1/3 if connected to the same bus that is
