BMV-712 Can't zero current celebrate through app or screen?

Screen inaccurate, bizarre reading like -1000 amps, -26kw with loads disconnected!

Odd symbols on screen. Firmware updated.

Can you make some pictures/screenshots?

For me it sounds like a defective and needs to be replaced.

I had a similar issue and it turned out to be the RJ-12 UTP cable. My unit was reading between 16 and 20 amps constantly, and zero current calibration didn't help. a new UTP cable solved my issue.

I had a similar issue with mine after plugging something in wrong at one point or I had attached the L1 incorrectly (did you mix up the wires?)

I would double check your shunt wiring and try a different UTP cable before calling the meter faulty.

Turns out to be the shunt PCB, replaced shunt and all working!

Checked PCB to shunt contact surfaces, all looks fine. suspect it to be the actual comms plug on PCB.
