Equalisation of Lead Acid with an ESS, problem

We have installed a grid connected ESS system earlier this summer for a customer using his lead acid flooded batteries that need a monthly Equalisation.

The customer has been unable to perform an equalisation via the CCGX advanced menu for the Quattro.

I have been to site and managed to get equalisation to start, but it only runs for a few seconds then drops out to float.

The setup is a 10kVA Quattro with an SMA 4kW PV inverter set to off grid.

The batteries are staring to deteriorate now with low battery warnings popping up regularly.

Any suggestions? Thanks

was the battery fully charged before attempting manual equalisation?

Hi, I have the same problem.

ESS system with easy solar 24v 70 150 3000,

OPZS BAE Batteries

With batteries in float, from the advanced menu mppt pulse equalize and not equalize.

I have also tried with maintenance settings on charged batteries.

Is it possible to do programmed equalization?

Sistema ESS con easy solar 24v 70 150 3000,

Baterías OPZS BAE

Con baterías en flotación, desde menu avanzado mppt pulso ecualizar y no ecualiza.

También he probado con configuración mantener baterías cargadas.

¿Es posible hacer ecualización programada?

Hola,

Finalmente conseguí ecualizar.

1. Batería en flotación

2. Ajuste del ESS en "Mantener baterías cargadas".

3 Desde el menú avanzado del Multiplus pulso inicio y el equipo se pone a ecualizar.

Yes it was. However thinking along those line I have asked the customer to change the ESS settings to "Keep Battery Charged' when trying to equalise.

Could it be that the ESS self consumption settings are over riding the equalisation?
