VE-direct electrical interface

Hi,

I want to connect a ESP8266 board (LOLIN D1 mini) on a VE.direct port to be able to send MPPT 75/15 data to a web client via wifi connection.

Is it possible to use the +5V power supply from VE.direct connector and how much current we can drive from it ?

Thanks

VE.Direct

Maximum 10 mA, most definitely not intended to drive anything. Please use an external power supply for any accessory experimentation.

Hi, I believe that the VE.Direct port does not provide enough power for the ESP8266 while utilizing the wifi connection; Max 10mA average, with max 20mA/5ms bursts.
