Cerbo GX and Garmin GPSMAP 1242vsx

Hello there, I have connected with Garmin Marine Cable. Network port on the Cerbo to Network port on the Garmin. All firmware updated. MQTT on LAN (SSL and Plaintext) enabled on the Cerbo. No Victron icon on the MFD though. Is there some step I’m missing? I read on the Victron blogpost with someone concerned Garmin MFD and Venus might have a DHCP conflict, but couldn’t find anything about how that might be resolved or even if it’s what I’m running up against. Any help appreciated, Peter

When both devices are configured to automagically get an ip address and there is no DHCP active on the LAN segment they might get an APIPA LAN address 169.254.xxx.xxxx

Best is configure a fixed IP addresses.
