Paralleling Li Batteries

Hi

I seen a number of references to the number of Li batteries that can be paralleled, either 5 or 10.

Which is correct? Also what is the reason for this number of packs?

Yes they can be but it does depend on what brand you are referring to as not all lithium batteries can be parelleled.

If you are building your own packs make sure the bms you buy can be parelleled.

Thanks for the response. To clarify, are you advising the number of parallel packs is only dependent on BMS ability?

That is correct and some cannot be parelleled at all.
