set current limit on multiplus (3K/220V) for temporary installed smals battery

Hi there,

is it possible to set a (temporary) current limit for for inerverter for the multiplus 3k, 220V, beacuase of small battery?

The multiplus (3k) should be installed right now, a bigger battery pack (smart lithium, 300Ah) will be installed later, because of budgetary reasons.

Multiplus 3k is a little bit to big for the installed capacity (only 75Ah, AGM) right now. Multiplus 2k is to long, it doesn't fit into our customers camper.

I saw it is possible to limit the loading current to 30A - that may be ok, but is it also possible to limit current while inverter is runnung? maybe over configure-software?

This is just for temporary usage (maybe for one year) until there is enough budget for smart lithium batteries.

Thanks for your help

Hi, there is a charge current limit that you can set in VEConfigure; but no discharge current limit.

for the output current you could install a temporary low current breaker on the AC side to make sure the customer can't load it too much.

If this question relates to a MPII, inverter output power can be set from within ESS ?

This only works for ESS systems, and only with grid connected. when no grid is available the full output power is available / no way to reduce this apart from not actually using it (might install a small breaker to output to make sure you don't accidentally overload the battery)
