Maximum data rate for Mode 3 external control

Hi,

When using the Modbus external control capability of the inverters I have noticed that when the control data is sent more than twice per second, the response of the inverters rather than being faster they are much slower with some times not even responding.

I guess this could also be somehow related to the ramping restrictions on the inverters, but is there any data rate limitation when using an external setpoint over Modbus that we should be aware of?

Thanks

Modbus TCP

Hi, I’m not aware of any rate limit; but regardless it doesn’t really matter: the update rate from the Venus device to the MultiPlus is below than twice a second.

When using mode 1 or 2; we use a once a second update rate. I advice keeping the same.
