Can2 port on venus GX

I have a Pheonix inverter connected to a Venux GX. Currently, I use the Modbus protocol to gather information about the inverter. I was wondering if it was possible to gather the same information but with CANbus from the port can2 ?

Thanks,

Venus GX - VGXModbus TCP

I don’t think that is possible.

There is a bit of discussion here that goes into the details of the second CANbus port:

That may be useful.

...what is the CAN2 for anyways?

I´ve got a system here where the MPPTs are chain connected to VE.Can and the Pylontech hub to CAN2

It seems to work, but after studying the VGX manual it looks like to be connected wrong.
Any advice on this please?

Thanks!

If it is working then you must have it correct.

VE.Can devices are 250kb/s and the Pylontech is 500kb/s so they would need to be on separate CAN interfaces as you have them.
