Possible for Cerbo GX to show (edit: on Touch 50) incoming power without Quattro or Multi installed?

I do not have any Victron devices inline with incoming shore power, is it possible to add a Victron AC Current sensor to feed the Cerbo incoming current data to display on the GX Touch 50?

Hi @SquareJ

Without a Victron Inverter/Charger, and only an energy meter (set to grid) connected, you won't see AC input displayed on the 'home screen' of the GX device.

You can see the numbers in the device list, and on VRM it will be logged as 'grid' power.

I'll include some screenshots of a system I've installed like this, to measure power use of a factory.

I should have been more specific in my question, yes, i would like the AC numbers to be visible on the Touch 50 display. Is a Quattro or Multi the only way to make this info display?

Thanks

Hi @SquareJ

The answer I gave is for any GX device, if it has a display or not. If it doesn't have a display, you have the same info on the 'remote console'.

So I won’t get shore power output on my the victron touch screen if I add a et112 (energy meter) to my system? I only have bmv712, cerbo gi, victron hd touch and a small Phoenix 375va inverter ?

Why wouldn’t shore power usage be shown on the victron screen in this case ?

Thanks for the answer. Hope you also can answer the follow up questions.

Is there are reason why this information isn’t available on the screen?

Is there a plan to change this, so the information would be easily available on the screen ?

Where can I find information / documentation on what’s needed to get this available on the screen ?

To remove the very yacht integrated charger mastervolt system , just to get this information isn’t an option

is there any workaround to get this information on the screen?

The reason why this is important is that we use the cerbo go to show all members on the princess yacht As much information as possible just by a glance on the screen. How much shore power we are consuming is a important information.

I really wished that this important information was available before I invested in the system

Victron really needs to allow the ability to draw the lines with all the devices I/o so you make your own flow chart and the software follows it

@Daniël Boekel (Victron Energy Staff) Ok, thank you for the clarification. I assume that the home screen QML files could be modified to show that info in that box?

Hi @Yuwire

I'm no specialist in that, so I can't help you with the answer. best to ask in ' modifications' section.
