What Battery Capacity to use when connecting different sized batteries in parallel?

Hello. I installed a BMV712 (Bluetooth) and 75/10 SC (for 100w mono panel) on my s/v, connected to two West Marine AGM 6v GC2 (190AMH) - this is my house bank, series-connected and to shunt. I also have one West Marine AGM Grp 24 (79 AMH) starter battery connected to negative bussbar that has primary neg wire led to shunt.

Not sure which battery setting for both apps and due to two different AMH batteries; no info came with batteries. Help?

Also, what battery bank capacity do I show? 190 or 190+79?

thank you.

Hi MM,

The shunt on the bmv will only keep track of the house batteries SOC, 190 ah.

Ignore the ah capacity of your start battery. The bmv will then only report the voltage of the start battery.

Thank you! Now I just need to know the battery settings for the solar controller which I connected to the two AGM GC2 6v/190AMH.
