where to download firmware for Multiplus 48v 5000 inverter

currently don't have access to AC PV sourcing / linking assistant I believe it is because my unit is behind on firmware,

previously was DC linking a sepparate 3rd party MPPT controler to the batteries, however have a SMA Sunny boy inverter ready to wire in but can't until i get this firmware


where can i download the updated firmware that supports PV shift power control from?

also all of the labels and stickers I've put details below.


Sicker on bottom compartment where all the terminals are, on the right hand wall

Hi @Alistair Hutten

The last number you posted is the important one. The 2624 is your mainboard identifier, the 158 the firmware it came with.

465 is the latest firmware, so the file you're looking for is 2624465.vff

You'll find it here: https://professional.victronenergy.com/

You'll need to sign in, but that shouldn't be difficult. Look in Firmware > VE.Bus section.

Nope, for 2624 is 465 the latest FW.

Not every device gets every update. ;)

thank you so much for your help everyone, however I'm still confused and can't find the particular fireware number 262465. the closest one i can find is 262469

  1. signed up for the professional.victronenery.com
  2. found the firmware section
  3. navigated to the VE.Bus (Multis, Inverters, Quantros)
  4. navigated to the 26 - 230VAC Products with large processor
  5. navigated to the 400 - assistant firewares
  6. find firmware that starts with 2624***.* which only find two that match
    • 2624469.vff
    • 2624459.vff


Not certain why i'm not seeing the version everyone is talking about? But can i assume the ones i've found will work?

Since the converations earlier in this thread, 465 is now no longer the latest version.

469 is the latest, released two days ago.
If you look in the folder "VE.Bus (Multis, Inverters and Quattros)" there are documents in there. There is a file called "Changelog firmware.docx" which explains the firmware changes.

So, you want 2624469.vff

I've downloaded it and will upgrade the firmware in a few days when i get back to my property.


This all started as picked up some grid tie inverters

  • SMA Sunny Boy 1700 and a
  • SMA Sunny Boy 1100,

all old units but believe supports frequency shift power control.

The larger SB1700 I've replaced the old connectors for panel mount mc4 connectors.
