Remote switch + Venus GX

Hi, I have a Multiplus 48/3000 in an off-grid system with BYD batteries and a Venus GX.

It seems that if the Multiplus is connected to the Venus, the remote ON/OFF switch doesn't work. It does work with the VE Bus cable disconnected.

Is this the way it works?

Is there any chance to have both the Venus connected and the remote switch working?

Thanks

You can switch the Multi on/off with the Venus.

Hi @Roberto

Remote switch is not compatible with either a GX device, or a Digital Multi Control (control panel)

A Digital Multi Control can be used together with a GX device, and will have priority over the GX device:

No, I can not. As soon as I conect the (analog) panel which is supposed to be compatible with the venus-GX the GX softwsare blocks access to the screen where the multi' s can be swithed on/off.

But a soon as I switch off the multi's by means of the panel, the Venus-GX apparently takes over.

The inverters rest dead and unresponsive to the panel switch until I disconnect the Venus-GX.

Then the panel-switch is seen again. I signaled this before in another post, but after a first reaction most victron officials seem to lose interest. I did eventually flash the latest firmware (as either advised against as in favor of-) in the multi' s though I was convinced that this is a bug in the Venus firmware that entered with one of the latest (automatic) updates.

I hate to be right, (being wrong would be so much easier) but the problem resides.

I know that the Multi can be turned on/off using the Venus interface, but can it be done from the ssh shell on the Venus with a dbus command?
