3-phase off-grid Victron Quattro 5000 VA and B-BOX 13.8

Hi everybody!


I intend to install a 3-phase off-grid system using 3x Victron Quattro 5000VA/48V and one B-BOX PRO 13.8.


Is there any compatibility problem between them?

Hello Lucas,

The issue would be the surge power. Note that the bbox 13.8 would only allow a surge power of 13.3kw but 3xquattro would allow up to 30Kva. So the minimum configuration list recommends at least 3 units of bbox 13.8.

Thanks for your reply.


My installation doesn't need 30 kVA surge power and it's out of budget to add two units more of bbox 13.8.


I also understand that the bbox has it's own protection and it should disconnect when it overloads the battery, am I wrong?
