BMV-700 connected to SmartSolar MPPT 100/20

Hi,

I have bought a SmartSolar MPPT 100/20 and would also like to add a battery monitor to my system. I'm considering the BMV-700 as the 712 is out of my price range.

Is it possible to connect the BMV-700 to the Smart Charger via a ve.direct or other cable so that the BMV-700 can also be accessed by the bluetooth app through the smart charger? I understand you can add the bluetooth dongle but wondering if its possible to use the smart charger bluetooth instead via cable.

No, if you want Bluetooth connectivity, you have to buy the 712 or a BT dongle.
