Overload L1: Warning, Multiplus II

Good morning

I have 2 Multiplus II 5000VA parallel inverters, 50 kWh lithium battery and 3 PV chargers with 12.3 kW peak solar output. The consumptions are quite strong, but the most powerful are connected to ACIn. When there is a sudden increase in consumption, you can see how the network holds the peak consumption until the inverters increase the output, but sometimes the inverters send an "Overload L1: Warning" message putting the inverters in "passthru" state (see attached image). passthru.png

These peaks apparently do not exceed the rated capacity of the inverters...

Is it possible to see the peaks that cause this effect? We have not managed to see the consumption that causes these changes of state in the inverters.

Shouldn't the network absorb these spikes?

Would the problem be solved by adding one more inverter in parallel?

Thanks for the help in advance.

VRM can't show peaks, it records at best a 1 minute average.

With parallel systems, its best to go back to basics and run through everything.

Get a clamp meter and check AC IN/OUT of each under steady loads and confirm they are working symmetrically.

Many issues originate from imbalances.

Passthru has typical causes, but I would address the overload condition first.

You don't mention the load. Remember pumps etc have a startup requirement that is many orders of magnitude above the nominal rating.

Try running GRAFANA on your system. It has the abbillity to pol / log ever 1 second. This will be much more helpfull in finding the peak of the usage than VRM. I had the same issue.

You can use Ulrich's free dashboard (since it has almost evrything you will need already setup)

Below you can see a screen grab of my Multiplus II that is set at logging once per second which is more detailed info than the standard once per minute. As you can see the time line is detailed at one second intervals.
