Bluesmart ip65 12v/15a - low charge voltage

Bluesmart ip65 12v/15a i

  • Goes straigh from test to Abs
  • charging in Abs mode at about 11.9v
  • Moves into float mode at same voltage.
  • The battery (Optima 845CCA Yellowtop 1 month old) is not charged enough to start the vehicle
  • The vehicle is only driven once a week not usually left on maintenance charge.

I'd suggest taking the battery itself to get tested (those Optimas are not what they used to be a decade or so ago, so it's not at all impossible that it's bad basically right out of the box) and if the battery itself tests good, then test the charger on a different battery to see if it behaves differently.

If the battery tests bad, there's the problem.

If the charger behaves the same on a different battery, there's the problem.

Hi @MikeFNQ, what is the charge current in bulk and absorption? And could you share a screenshot of VictronConnect when the charger is in one of those charge states ?
