Cerbo Beta Dsiplay and Alternator Charge

I am now starting to see new things with the cerbo GX display that is is beta right now. One of the things is that it will show its own block for the alternator charging to the battery that is being monitored.

My question is this. Is this somehow autodetected as charge being put into the system from the DC load or does this require a victron orion XS in order to have this block operate as intended?

If no orion XS is needed, are there any special things that need to be done to monitor the alternator charge on the battery?

Post on the beta thread as per instructions for all beta users. Please read the post before in case it is an issue being worked on or in development.

Read answers and comments. And if your situation has already been brought up in an answer (and has not already been mention as a known issue in the main post) add your comment onto that section.
