Multiplus replacement with VE.Net Blue Power Panel

Hi,

I'm replacing a faulty 3kw Multiplus in an existing setup based on VE.Net

The panel being used was a Blue Power Panel (not sure if it's a v1 or v2 - the system was built in 2012).

The problem I have is that, despite having reconfigured the Multiplus with VEConfigure - the panel still show the connection with it in "Initialising" forever.

Any help please?

Thanks in advance

@stepir For it to work with the latest Multi firmware the VVC needs to be 0x0402. It is not possible to update this firmware yourself. A special programmer is needed. You could try changing the firmware of the Multi 143 if you are not planning on using assistants. If you want to use assistants then it would be best to upgrade to a ColorControl and a BMV
Fot this it would be best to contact your distributor

@stepir Do you know which firmware the old Multi had? What firmware does the new Multi have? 4xx?
The problem is probably that the BPP needs a firmware update to work with a Multi with the latest firmware. If it is a v1 BPP a firmware update is not possible.

Advice would be to replace the BPP for a CCGX. But when more VENet is used that will not be an option

Hey Martijn!

Thanks!

The old one was using 1909143 so it's substantially a different machine compared to the new one.

Replacing the panel would be odd as the customer is not expecting it - the multiplus have only be replaced as it was faulty.

Also the rest of the setup is still using some VE.Net accessories - the battery monitor in example - meaning he will have to buy and install also a BMV...

I believe it's a BPP v1 - how can i check? externally they seems identical?

Thanks again

@stepir Can you go into the menu and look up the firmware versions?
In the Multi menu and then all the way down it should say VVC Version.
And in Local settings somewhere in the middle it shows Software version. That will determine the model.
