Smart battery sense compatibility with BMV 712

I have installed a smart battery sense in to my system in the hopes that I would be able to read the temperature on the BMV, I am using the second input on my BMV already for start battery voltage so that option was not available.

After some research it appears the BMV does not accept the temperature from the SBS. Is it possible that this feature will be added at a later date?

I imagine it would be simple seeing as both devices support the VE network

I have had both units in my system at one stage as I am using the 2nd BMV input for battery mid point measurement.

In your case I would simply use the BMV as a stand alone unit and only pair the Smart Battery Sense to the MPPT via VE.Smart Network.

That way you will avoid any confusion / conflicts with 2 paired devices that both transmit voltage.
