Stop charging battery via modbus

Hello, could me give an advice which register we can use for stop charging battery. The mean is when the spot is expenxive we want all energy export to grid and the battery charge when the spot is cheaper.

We have pyllontech batteries (US3000)

victron multiPlusII 5000 3x

DC coupled 2x MPPT victron

Setting:

DVCC forced on

active ESS

we tryed :

ESS max charge current (fractional) 2701
set to 0 or 10 no effect
ESS max discharge current (fractional) 2702 it works

ESS max discharge current 2704 no effect
DVCC system max charge current 2705 set to 0 or 10 no effect

But is not succefly.

Thank you for support

Hi @honzalacina

Not sure how to do this with modbus alone as you'd need to keep reading solar production and adjusting grid setpoint. If your PV was ac coupled i think setting DVCC current limit to 0 works but I dont think that works if you've got DC coupled as you say.

I tried helping someone do something similar using node red just with additional element of time based criteria but you could maybe just use part of the code here: (might not be what you're after but thought i'd share just in case)

Schedule grid feed back using Node red - Victron Community (victronenergy.com)
