Orion TR 12/12 30A absorption mode

I have a Victron Solar Controller, Victron Smart Shunt with temperature sensor, Victron Blue Smart Charger and Orion TR non isolated.

I did have a Redarc 1240D but it was always in absorption mode. I replaced it with an Orion TR 12/12 30A.

The Orion goes into absorption mode almost immediately.

Help please.

I have two VoltX 200 AH batteries in parallel 5 metres from the Sprinter 2016 battery and alternator. The cables are 2AG for red and 3AG for ground.

The voltage reading measured with a multimeter at the Orion input and output terminals to ground is .15volt less that the Orion TR reading.

@Noel Rath You have 1.2v drop between the Orion and the SmartShunt.

Check your cables, connections, earthing and fuses / breakers for the voltage drop.

Double-check all your wiring connections to ensure they are securely connected and properly routed. Any loose or damaged connections could affect the very small voltage drop, While a small difference is expected due to measurement accuracy and resistance in the cables, a significant difference from my experience has been sometime compounded by the connections, in some cases using lugs at termination points (if not installed) has been helpful.

hey guys, just a heads up:

i changed my lipo battery 2 weeks ago. roamers 200Ah gen1 to 230Ah gen3. before and after was working fine: 100% charge at 30A then a few days ago i updated the firmwares of my all my victrons (ACDC, DCDC, solar, BMV) until then batteries charged to 100%. since they only charge to 80% from any charger.goes into absorption way too early. i did a bit of investigation (cabling, talked to Roamers, settings of victron devices) nothing obvious. I really suspect a bug in recent firmware. 90% confident :-( I will try to post screenshots tomorrow. could you take a look please? thanks

Actually is there a way to move back to older fimwares, like last of 2023 for example?
