Protective earth to neutral voltage too high error 43

Help!

Instaled the multi RS solar inverter/charger. Currently no PV's connected as not installed yet. Connected to a generator but not charging the batteries as showing an error code #43 and saying there is a problem with the protective earth to neutral voltage being too high.

Is this due to there not being any PV's installed? There is an earth connected to ground from the unit and no detectable leakage from other devices. All firmware has been updated and the unit has been returned to factory settings and reset but still not charging the batteries from the generator.

The inverter expects an ac source to have the neutral and earth bonded at the source so the neutral and earth should be at the same voltage. Does your generator have neutral earth bonding. The other cause could be incorrect wiring so that the neutral and live cables are swapped over.

You should always make sure that the ac is wired according to local regulations as these differ from country to country. Consult an approved electrician.
