Water tank sensor showing 27% when empty

I have both water tank and waste tank sensor running via the Cerbo GX for 2 years all was working fine. Over the past week the waste tank is now showing 27% when there is nothing in the tank. If i add wastewater it starts going up from 27% straightaway. Its like it thinks 27% is 0%.

Is there a way to reset it to 0?

Any suggestions helpfull

Most likely a sensor issue with some debris affecting the reading depending up what type of sensor, capacitance, float, pressure so any resetting on the Cerbo will be a work around and if the fault clears then you may will an under reading tank.

If you want to try a work around, the sensor creates a variable resistance from empty to full that the Cerbo GX measures. Read Section 5.5 of the manual

https://www.victronenergy.com/media/pg/Cerbo_GX/en/connecting-supported-non-victron-products.html#UUID-c06fc0ff-a4b4-e17e-ae24-97c8cd62b435

When the tank is empty, go into the set up for that tank and scroll down, this will then give you the current resistance reading with an empty tank. Scroll back up and note the proper settings for standard, resistance when empty and resistance when full as you may need to go back to these. If the tank is not selected as custom then change this to custom. Then select resistance when empty and change this setting to the current resistance reading, the tank should now show 0%.

Again, not knowing the cause of your problem, this work around runs the risk of effluent over filling the waste tank depending how it affects the reading over the whole range or if it clears itself.
